Proud OEM of the S-64 Air Crane® Helicopter

S-64 Sales & Support

As an OEM of the S-64 Air Crane® helicopter, Erickson has manufactured and maintained the S-64 since 1992, when the Type Certificate was acquired from Sikorsky. This work has included creating and supporting our own fleet of S-64s, as well as producing them for sale to operators, including the Korea Forest Service, Italian Forest Service, Helicopter Express, and others.

The aircraft sale is only the beginning of the relationship. Erickson’s comprehensive after-sale support team is dedicated to keeping your S-64 and/or CH-54 mission ready for the most challenging jobs. In addition, Erickson operates an FAA Certified Repair Station for all repair and overhaul work associated with the S-64. Erickson provides responsive service and strives for excellence in the manufacture and support of the S-64 Air Crane® helicopter.

Power by Erickson (PbE)

Erickson offers a comprehensive program that guarantees spares for major components on the aircraft, including engines, drive train, and rotor systems. A successful Power by the Hour (PBH) or Powered by Erickson™ (PBE) program optimizes aircraft availability and streamlines operational costs while deferring the burden of spares management to Erickson.

Erickson’s PBE program has redefined international fleet sustainment over the last 20 years. Tailored to meet customer needs, the PBE program offers service levels based on fleet size and utilization. An annual minimum flight hour guarantee is established with the end customer based on their projected utilization.

Customers of Erickson’s PBE program will pay a per-flight hour rate to receive the service. During the term of the PBE contract, customers receive just-in-time delivery of covered parts and components if any of the following events occur:

  • Covered component is due for repair or replacement due to calendar expiration.
  • Covered component is due for repair or replacement due to flight hours expiration.
  • Unexpected replacement (AOG) service is required for a covered component.

The PBE program gives the enrolled operator assurance of spare parts support when required, at a predictable hourly price.
