Andrew Mills Chief Executive Officer, interim
Mr. Mills rejoined Erickson in 2012, and prior to his current position was General Manager of Aircrane Operations and Director of Aerial Services Sales and Marketing. Mr. Mills has over 25 years of experience in helicopter operations and contracting. Prior to joining Erickson, he served as General Manager of Carson Helicopters, and Director of Operations for Swanson Group Aviation. Before working exclusively in the heavy helicopter arena, he served as Vice President of Operations for Phoenix Geophysics, a world leader in exploration geophysics specializing in frontier exploration utilizing helicopter-supported geophysical tools. He has extensive experience in aerial firefighting and international helicopter contracting and has worked in more than 20 countries.
Mr. Mills graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, with post graduate work in geophysics. He is a past Chairman of the Oregon Heavylift Helicopter Consortium, and current Vice Chairman of the HAI Government Resources/Firefighting Committee.
David W. Lancelot Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lancelot has nearly 30 years of aviation finance experience and governs Erickson’s financial functions. He is specifically skilled in debt refinancing and restructuring, corporate governance, turnarounds, and process improvement. Mr. Lancelot’s career achievements include raising hundreds of millions of dollars in public equity, financing billions of dollars worth of aircraft and successfully executing the turnaround of a low cost airline producing the highest EBITDAR margins of any carrier in the United States.
Mr. Lancelot most recently served as CEO of Outdoor Reservation Management Group, President of Enerjet LTD, and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Spirit Airlines, Inc. His experience also includes executive positions at AirTran Airways and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings among others.
His responsibilities at Erickson include accounting, financial reporting and controls, budgeting, planning, forecasting, internal and external audit, investor relations, treasury, tax, information technology, corporate development, risk management and real estate. Mr. Lancelot is a graduate of Baylor University.
Brian Pierson Vice President / General Manager, Global Defense and Security, MRO, Depot Maintenance
Brian Pierson joined Erickson in September 2015 as Vice President of Government Services. Mr. Pierson has more than 30 years of global operations, information technology, manufacturing, strategy and management experience, and leads worldwide Global Defense & Security functions for Erickson.
Before joining Erickson, Mr. Pierson served as Chief Operating Officer for HireRight the largest pre-employment and drug screening firm. Prior roles include serving as Senior Vice President of Global Operations and acting head of Research & Development at NASDAQ-listed technology firm FEI Company, where he was responsible for the global IT, manufacturing and engineering organizations. Previously, Mr. Pierson served as a Managing Director for Applied Materials, including leading operations for a $1.8 billion service division and the head of divisional manufacturing and supply chain.
Mr. Pierson started his career in the United States Army as an Officer in a variety of assignments, including various international assignments and deployments. He speaks Portuguese and German. Mr. Pierson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics (Operations Research) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.
Rob Lewis Vice President / General Manager, Civil Business, Aerial Operations
Mr. Lewis joined Erickson in February 2016 as Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Services. In this role, he leads and manages sales and operations for the business unit. His background includes significant experience in growing revenue, launching new aircraft development platforms, and establishing new markets.
Most recently, he was Vice President & General Manager, Business Aviation and Helicopter Training divisions at CAE, Inc., where he Led the Business Aviation Training and Helicopter Training divisions with P&L responsibility of $270M revenue, 800+ employees at 17 locations around the world. His previous work includes executive positions with Pentastar Aviation, and Sentient Flight Group.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and has served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. He is also a graduate of Columbia University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Ellen Raim Vice President of Human Resources
Ellen has over twenty-five years of experience helping organizations succeed by aligning their strategy with their culture. She began her career as a labor and employment attorney for a large multinational law firm. She then served the Legal Department at Intel Corporation and moved into Human Resources where she served as the Director of World Wide Talent Acquisition. Ellen joined Electro Scientific Industries as their Vice President of Human Resources where she developed cultural change programs to complement the business direction and then consulted to concentrate on integrating business strategy, large scale change management, and organizational development.
Her most recent position was as the Vice President of HR and Compliance for Cascade Microtech where she was responsible for Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Compliance, Trade Compliance and Quality.
Ellen holds a B.A. in Economics from Brown University, an M.A. in Organizational Design from Seattle University, a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, and is working on her Masters in Behavioral Science from the London School of Economics.
