ERICKSON AWARDED TWO CONTRACT SEATS WITHIN ASTRO

WE ARE ERICKSON. TESTED AND TRUSTED®.

August 16th, 2021

PORTLAND, ORE. – On July 28, 2021, Erickson Incorporated, an industry-leading, maintainer, and manufacturer of utility aircraft, was awarded two contracts. ASTRO is a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle using FAR 16 Ordering Procedures.

This will be a 10-year contract (five-year base period, one five-year option). ASTRO will include all contract types, including FFP (all types), Cost-Reimbursement (all types), Incentive (all types), T&M, and Labor-Hour. It will also support commercial and non-commercial items, CONUS & OCONUS; and may also combine more than one contract type. All ASTRO task order procurements will be conducted by FEDSIM or a specifically approved and delegated AAS Regional Office. FEDSIM conservatively estimates ~ 20+ task orders per year, with a minimum order threshold of $100 Million (sometimes exceeding $1 Billion). This number is expected to grow year over year. ASTRO is designed to meet DoD (and Combatant Commands) mission requirements related to manned, unmanned, and optionally manned systems, robotics, and platforms. This includes operations, maintenance, readiness, development, systems integration, business support, mission support, and research and development.

“This is an excellent addition to the arsenal of contracting vehicles Erickson has to compete for new business. Customers can use these two ASTRO “pools” in their acquisition strategy, in line with our defense aerial operations and heavy maintenance business lines.”

Scott Zurschmit, Vice President of Business Capture at Erickson Incorporated

Erickson was awarded a seat on both “pools,” or specialty areas that we bid within ASTRO. The Mission Operations Pool is all non-data collection and analysis services associated with manned, unmanned, and optionally manned systems, robotics, and platforms supporting mission performance for land, air, sea, or space. The Aviation Pool functions are maintenance, repair, and overhaul of manned, optionally manned, and unmanned aircraft. This includes traditional labor services as well as “as a service” support.
