A rich history of aviation operational support.
Erickson has been operating in Africa for almost 40 years, beginning with operations in support of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) efforts to eradicate River Blindness. In our early days of Africa operations, Erickson operated both rotary wing and fixed wing platforms conducting spraying missions across 13 West African countries. The WHO still sites this program as one of their most successful to date.
Today, Erickson’s operations have expanded to include providing aviation support for United Nations operations in Chad, Liberia, Angola, and Sudan. Its current operations in support of the United States Department of Defense, continue to expand Erickson’s operational footprint across the continent, including operations in Central and North/West Africa. With a rich history of aviation operational support on the continent of Africa, Erickson continues to reinforce its reputation as the premier global expeditionary aviation expert.
